In my research on local propositions, I encountered just a ridiculous amount of verbose explanations. At most times, I think they are wording it just to confuse the voter. Is it more or is this just plain confusing. And I'm not usually one for online acronyms but: WTF?

On that note, I comprehend that our Troops lay their life on the line to protect our freedoms we all enjoy today. I have friends currently serving in Iraq and overseas, and my father served the US Air Force for nearly 21+ years. I mean no disrespect to the men and women who gave that right to me, and I am grateful for that.
On the other hand, I believe in having an educated voting experience based on fact and research. It's one thing to believe in utilizing the right to vote but voting for the wrong reason (perhaps any of the ten listed above), I believe is the wrong thing to do. If you are going to vote, do it with dignity and make an educational decision.
I disagree with the Hardball commentary and Pat Buchanan. In the current media state, you can't distant yourself from pop media. McCain did a stand up job. It's just an unfortunate shadow of a situation he has to follow from others before him.

When I tried to find an embeddable video for the Vice Presidential debate, did you know I found more Saturday Night Live (SNL) parodies than the actual debates themselves? In my opinion, the image and portrayal of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is probably more dominant in the media.
I realize since the beginning of our nation, comedic parody in newspaper cartoons, movies and television (SNL) has always been depicted. Growing up, I recall Darryl Hammond, Dana Harvey, and the 1990's SNL cast depicting President Clinton, President George Bush Sr, and Ross Parrot. And I remember laughing at how they were portrayed because it was always funny.
From an positive standpoint, it may get regular television viewers more interested in politics. On another standpoint, these comedic parodies may be the only depictions America will ever see or know of these Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates. And quite frankly that is sad.
Don't get me wrong, I've always enjoyed Saturday Night Live, and that's the beauty of America: it's citizens can criticize, parody, and even mock it's government and leaders without fear of being murdered, exiled or put in jail.
My plea to Americans: educate yourselves and decode these messages very carefully. We live in an excellent time where information is available to us (and as a technological enthusiast I think that's phenomenal). Unfortunately, these media channels may sometimes show it's bias or favoritsm for a specific candidate (there are specific networks that do so!). It's our responsibility in our technological age to use decipher it correctly.

CNN reported it as "Black Monday"; the worst stock crash since 9/11. It's unfortunate for every American financially (because I'll bet I've lost money in my 401k and any other investment I have out there). But I remain optimistic.
I'm very fortunate and thank god everyday. I have a stable job and work in a stable industry. I have a home that has not been ravaged by Hurricanes or any other natural disaster. And I even get to marry the girl of my dreams next July in Hawaii.

This statistic is tragic for the travel industry, but great for us. I've recently received an email newsletter from Hawaiian Airlines offering round trip flights from the Mainland to Honolulu for $370! Yes, ROUND TRIP. That's spectacular.
